Job Overview: The Engineer II position requires knowledge and application of engineering theories, principles, concepts, and fundamentals. This role involves developmental experience in a professional engineering position and competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures. The candidate will need to demonstrate originality and ingenuity to achieve project objectives, understand configuration management, and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs such as Matlab and Excel. The position also requires strong planning, organizational, and project management skills, as well as effective decision-making, leadership, and communication abilities.
Responsibilities: - Serve as the safety committee representative for the OSS team.
- Review and consolidate all OSS documents entering workflow, including as-built drawings.
- Advise on assigning reviewers for new workflow initiation.
- Monitor overdue workflows and send reminders.
- Close all open comment sheets related to old or finalized documents.
- Provide weekly updates and reports.
- Manage call coverage roster and shared team calendar.
- Maintain the OSS action tracker and team SharePoint page.
- Handle change orders and budget management for OSS contract support, including contract and invoice reviews.
- Conduct risk analysis and manage Semco inventory.
- Track and resolve non-conformity reports (NCRs) and technical queries (TQs).
- Attend working calls to address NCRs and TQs.
Qualifications: - Minimum of a high school diploma; an associate degree is required, and an engineering degree is preferred.
- Competency in engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Matlab and Excel.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, and practices.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Capability to process information quickly and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay Range: $40 - $45/hr. W2
