Job Description – PeopleSoft Lease Management Consultant (PSFT 9.2)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Lease Administration Consultant with deep expertise in IFRS‑16, US GAAP (ASC‑842), and Japan GAAP accounting standards. The consultant will lead the setup, configuration, and validation of Commercial and Residential lease portfolios, including Japan‑specific lease structures. The scope, requirements, and lease inventory are already prepared — the consultant will focus on execution, configuration, accounting validation, and end‑to‑end deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and implement PeopleSoft Lease Administration (PSFT 9.2) for:
• Commercial leases in Japan
• Residential leases (multi‑unit, multi‑property)
• Corporate real‑estate and equipment leases
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS‑16, ASC‑842 (US GAAP), and Japan GAAP accounting rules.
• Set up lease classifications, payment schedules, options, escalations, CPI adjustments, and renewal rules.
• Configure lease accounting entries, including:
• ROU asset creation
• Lease liability amortization
• Interest expense
• Depreciation schedules
• Re‑measurement and modification events
• Validate accounting entries across multiple GAAP books (IFRS, US, Japan).
• Work with finance teams to map PeopleSoft accounting to corporate GL structures.
• Configure integration points with AP, AR, AM, GL, and Project Costing.
• Support Japan‑specific lease requirements, including:
• Key money
• Renewal fees
• Security deposits
• Japanese commercial rent structures
• Lead UAT, functional testing, and accounting validation.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration guides, and training materials.
• Provide production support and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of PeopleSoft FSCM experience.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with PeopleSoft Lease Administration (Real Estate Management).
• Strong functional expertise in IFRS‑16, ASC‑842 (US GAAP), and Japan GAAP lease accounting.
• Experience implementing commercial leases in Japan (mandatory).
• Experience configuring residential lease portfolios (multi‑unit, multi‑property).
• Deep understanding of:
• ROU asset calculations
• Lease liability amortization
• Discount rate handling
• Lease modifications & remeasurements
• Multi‑book accounting
• Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 PUM images and tools.
• Ability to work with finance, accounting, and global stakeholders.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with global lease portfolios (US, Japan, EU).
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Asset Management, AP, AR, GL.
• Experience with Japan localization in PeopleSoft.
• Prior consulting experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft partner firms.
