Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking NPI Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling and equipment selection.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and process flows.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related production issues.
• Participate in design reviews to provide DFM/DFA feedback and ensure product launch readiness.
• Manage and track NPI project timelines and deliverables to meet launch schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in NPI engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle) for PCB design and layout.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM/DFA principles, and quality control methodologies.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, Gerber files, and assembly drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python) for data analysis or automation.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
