Overview
DecisionPoint seeks a QA/Test Engineer (Data & Integration) to perform verification and validation of system integrations, data pipelines, and APIs across a secure, cloud-based enterprise environment. The QA/Test Engineer will ensure all data workflows, API transactions, and migration activities meet performance, accuracy, and compliance requirements.
This position is key to maintaining data integrity and interoperability across AWS GovCloud IL4/IL5 environments and supports continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) testing as part of Agile DevSecOps development cycles.

Duties & Responsibilities
The QA/Test Engineer (Data & Integration) will:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts for API, data migration, and integration testing across multiple systems.
- Validate data transformations, mappings, and ETL processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of ingested and exchanged data.
- Perform end-to-end integration testing for RESTful APIs, web services, and database interfaces to confirm interoperability and system alignment.
- Create and maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, test cases, and validation results.
- Conduct data validation testing using SQL queries and scripting languages to verify source-to-target mappings and data quality.
- Support continuous integration (CI) pipelines by integrating automated tests and validation checkpoints into deployment workflows.
- Execute performance and load testing on APIs and data processes to ensure stability and throughput under operational conditions.
- Work with developers and data engineers to troubleshoot data and interface issues identified during test cycles.
- Ensure test environments and datasets are configured and representative of production systems.
- Verify DoD compliance with security, RMF, and STIG requirements as they apply to testing and data handling.
- Document all test activities, results, and findings in a structured repository for audit and sustainment.
- Support post-deployment validation (PDV) and regression testing following updates or releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to align test activities with development timelines.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must hold an active Top Secret clearance.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software or data quality assurance.
- Experience testing APIs, integrations, and data workflows in federal or defense cloud environments.
- Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps development settings.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency with testing and automation tools such as Postman, Selenium, PyTest, or JMeter.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and query-based testing.
- Familiarity with ETL and data integration platforms (AWS Glue, Talend, or Apache NiFi).
- Experience testing RESTful APIs, microservices, and web-based interfaces.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, RMF processes, and STIG compliance.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud or other IL4/IL5 cloud environments.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Tester (CSTE).
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Developer - Associate.
Skills:
