Salesforce Technical Lead Architect-(Core Platform-Salesforce Revenue Cloud)

Introduction

The Global Salesforce Commercial Platforms IT team is seeking a Principal IT Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the architecture and design of Salesforce capabilities supporting Pricing & Contracting, CPQ, pricing management, and contract workflows across regions. This role involves partnering with Commercial and IT stakeholders to define scalable target architecture, standards, and patterns while minimizing technical debt.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery sessions and translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce designs.
• Lead design workshops and solution sessions, delivering end-to-end solution architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Estimate level-of-effort (LOE), assess feasibility, benefits, and risks, and support planning across multiple workstreams.
• Own solution design, configuration, and architecture for Salesforce Core Platform and Salesforce Revenue Cloud.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), managing risks to ensure high-quality outcomes and on-time delivery.
• Provide thought leadership and architecture guidance on Salesforce capabilities, roadmap, and emerging features.
• Define and govern architecture standards, patterns, and portfolio lifecycle decisions.
• Coach and mentor administrators, developers, and offshore/distributed teams.
• Stay current with Salesforce product releases and evaluate their fit for enterprise use.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical lead or architecture role.
• Strong experience designing and governing end-to-end Salesforce enterprise solutions.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical architectures.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns and Salesforce security models.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall Salesforce platform experience, including 3+ years in a technical lead or architecture role.
• Deep expertise in Pricing & Contracting technologies such as Salesforce Revenue Cloud.
• Strong product knowledge of Salesforce Agentforce/AI capabilities and Data Cloud activation use cases.
• Experience with Salesforce integration to ERP, finance, and other business systems using APIs, Kafka, MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, webMethods, or similar.
• Experience in customer-facing delivery roles and leading enterprise Salesforce programs through full lifecycle.
• Strong capabilities in data management/analytics, environment & release management, and leading distributed/offshore delivery teams.
• Experience with single-org Salesforce deployments and multi-org consolidations.
• Active Salesforce certifications or commitment to attain them upon hire.
