Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient
Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for the
Loyalty Replatforming Initiative, a multi-year transformation effort modernizing Marriott Bonvoy's loyalty systems. This role will be pivotal in driving Agile excellence across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with program increments (PIs), and enabling seamless coordination between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: - Scrum Leadership & Agile Execution
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Guide teams through Agile best practices, fostering continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
- Track sprint velocity, manage burn-down charts, and ensure delivery against PI commitments.
- Technical Coordination & Risk Management
- Collaborate with engineering leads to resolve technical blockers and align on architecture decisions.
- Drive risk identification and mitigation strategies across the Loyalty Release Train.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to maintain a prioritized and refined backlog.
- Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and PI Planning sessions.
- Operational Excellence
- Maintain Agile dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Mandatory Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise software development.
Preferred Qualifications: - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
