The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Controls Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities- Designs, develops, and tests control systems for manufacturing processes.
- Programs PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for automated equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex electrical and controls-related issues on production lines.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement new equipment and process improvements.
- Develops and maintains detailed documentation for control systems, including schematics and logic diagrams.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards and industry regulations in all controls applications.
- Provides technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, B&R).
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development and configuration (e.g., Ignition, WinCC, FactoryTalk View).
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Experience with robotic systems and their integration into manufacturing processes.
