CLOCS Architect

Location: This position will be hybrid 4x per week (wfh on Fridays) in Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Flint, Minneapolis, Charlotte, or Chicago

Employment Type: Contract to Perm

Role Overview

The Principal Architect participates on one or more project teams, supporting the design and modeling of the architecture and related solutions. This role involves component identification, quality reviews, and adherence to policies and standards. The architect will review existing business processes, establish metrics for improvement, and support all architectural disciplines. This position will reside within the ServiceNow application space, focusing on platform architecture and both inbound and outbound integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand, advocate, and augment the principles of information technology strategies.
  • Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements.
  • Analyze the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Analyze technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact.
  • Define the principles to guide solution decisions for the enterprise.
  • Design and lead the implementation of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) based on business requirements and IT strategies.
  • Design and direct governance activities to ensure EA compliance.
  • Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio.
  • Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards.
  • Consult with development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture.
  • Document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 5+ years of experience in multiple IT areas, including at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, such as technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a solution architect
  • 3+ years of leading technology efforts
  • Full-stack development background with experience across multiple vendor products
  • Solution Architecture experience across business, technology, data, application, and infrastructure domains
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing Solution Architecture for large and complex solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management and prioritization skills
