Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a back-end Credit Card Servicing team. This role is responsible for the analysis, documentation, and validation of system behavior. The position requires an understanding of agile delivery, business analysis, and business engagement, while working at a high technical level of systems analysis and considering business implications for current and future environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of business issues and provide recommendations for possible solutions.
- Work with business users and IT project teams to drive decision-making and define requirements for application development.
- Complete Use Cases and User Stories to guide application development efforts.
- Analyze opportunities to improve application reliability and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Lead the coordination, consolidation, and decomposition of functional scope into documented user stories, data, and system flows.
- Perform analysis of compliance vulnerabilities and support internal and external audit-related activities.
- Communicate backlog and user story status and escalate issues as needed.
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with the scrum team.
- Maintain the quality of documentation to ensure reliability for future efforts and to assist with production incidents.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 5 years of experience in business analysis of product and/or software development.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of APIs or external file transfers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in eliciting requirements and producing requirement artifacts such as functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, with a background in card products and processing.
- Adept in building team relationships and partnering across organizational lines.
- Experience with Agile or Iterative delivery models, including writing detailed User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) for maintaining User Stories and documentation.
- Business Analysis (CBAP) certification.
- Knowledge of cloud platform experience to support user story development and team activities.
