Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior .NET/SSIS Developer
Location: Austin, TX
Work model: Hybrid - 4 days a week onsite
Duration: 12 months contract with possibility of extension
Minimum qualifications - 5 years of software development experience.
- Experience with SSIS package development and support.
- Expertise in SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience building and supporting SQL-based batch jobs.
- Working knowledge of .NET and C# used in backend or batch workflows.
- Experience supporting scheduled and automated jobs in production environments.
- Experience troubleshooting batch failures and data issues.
Preferred qualifications - Experience with job schedulers such as SQL Agent, Control-M, or Autosys.
- Experience working with legacy batch jobs.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in financial services or highly regulated environments.
About the job We are seeking a hands-on contract developer to support and enhance business-critical data pipelines and scheduled jobs. This is an individual contributor role focused on SQL Server batch processing using SSIS packages. As a contractor, you will be expected to make immediate hands-on contributions with minimal ramp-up time. Your work will heavily emphasize execution, system stability, and operational reliability to ensure seamless data workflows.
Responsibilities - Develop, enhance, and support SSIS-based SQL batch jobs.
- Build and maintain ETL and data movement pipelines.
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
- Support batch execution, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis for data or job failures in production environments.
- Document SSIS packages, batch logic, delivered work, and data flows clearly.
- Collaborate effectively with quality assurance, production support, and full-time engineering staff.
