Automation Engineer | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Automation Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for new and existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, including hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems and processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation-related downtime.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing automation infrastructure.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or control systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
  • Experience with vision systems, sensors, and other automation components.
