Role Overview:We are seeking a Senior Data Analytics Contractor to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions across modern data platforms. This role focuses on building trusted datasets, developing high-impact dashboards, and delivering executive-ready insights using SQL, Python, Power BI, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric. You'll also leverage AI and Copilot tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and stakeholder support while maintaining strong data quality and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable analytics deliverables
- Write and optimize advanced SQL across SQL Server, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric
- Design and maintain analytics-ready data models (dimensional/star schemas, curated datasets)
- Build, enhance, and performance-tune dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and Tableau
- Use Python for data wrangling, analysis, automation, and forecasting support
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot and approved AI tools to accelerate development, insights, and documentation-with proper validation
- Communicate findings clearly through concise executive narratives and data-backed recommendations
- Maintain clear documentation to support handoff and long-term maintainability
Qualifications:- 7-10+ years of senior-level experience in data analytics, BI, or consulting
- Advanced SQL expertise (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, performance tuning)
- Strong experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) and Snowflake
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, pipelines, dataflows, notebooks)
- Strong dashboard development skills in Power BI and Tableau
- Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation
- Familiarity with AI and Copilot tools, with demonstrated responsible usage
- Excellent communication skills and ability to independently deliver high-quality analytics
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $52.45 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
