Position Overview We are seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to lead and support a newly awarded U.S. Government Contract. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of high-stakes project activities while maintaining strict adherence to federal regulations and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is a disciplined, detail-oriented professional capable of navigating complex requirements and delivering high-quality results within fixed timelines.

responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of project tasks. Ensure every milestone is aligned with both the specific contract requirements and broader organizational objectives.
- Act as the primary point of communication between government representatives and internal leadership. Provide transparent, "decision-ready" status updates and proactively address concerns to maintain strong agency relations.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify potential bottlenecks or compliance gaps. Develop and execute mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Effectively manage project assets, including cross-functional personnel, materials, and budgetary allocations, to optimize productivity and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Prepare, maintain, and audit comprehensive project documentation. This includes detailed progress reports, compliance records, and final deliverables, ensuring 100% accuracy and strict adherence to government reporting standards.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive project management experience.
Proven experience managing U.S. Government Contracts or operating within highly regulated industries is required.
Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet).
Strong familiarity with government contracting processes, including a working knowledge of federal regulations and compliance frameworks.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated knack for managing multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
Existing or prior security clearance is a significant plus.
