Role Overview
This position supports small business sales reporting and analytics. The role is responsible for tracking performance across channels, geographies, and hierarchy levels to deliver insights to sales leadership. This is a hands-on data analyst role focused on reporting, analytics, and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance sales performance reports.
- Analyze sales data across channels, regions, and time periods.
- Support both backward-looking reporting and some forward-looking projections.
- Create dashboards and visualizations for leadership using Tableau.
- Write SQL queries to extract data from Redshift and SQL Server.
- Transform and prepare data using Alteryx.
- Maintain legacy reporting in Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
- Respond to ad hoc business questions from sales and operations teams.
- Assist in automating reporting processes to reduce manual work.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience as a data analyst.
- Strong experience with Alteryx.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases like Redshift or SQL Server.
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau.
- Experience with Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
- A background in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work across multiple data sources and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Redshift or other cloud data environments.
- Exposure to sales or revenue reporting.
- Experience with reporting automation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with MicroStrategy.
Work Environment
The role is part of a small team supporting a small business sales organization. The work is divided by sales channel. The manager is hands-on and will provide initial oversight and training, with the expectation that the role will gradually take on more workload and ownership. The position requires independent work, problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn business context.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $60.00/hr
