The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking NPI Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and testability.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new product introduction.
- Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the NPI phase, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NPI efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to interpret and translate engineering designs (CAD, schematics, BOMs) into manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and quality control.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing quality.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to script or program for automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles relevant to industrial control systems.
