Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the technical accounting and reporting function within the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
2. Drive the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, while ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives.
3. Manage and coordinate the preparation of internal and external financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
4. Collaborate closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations that support decision-making and strategic planning.
5. Utilize tools such as Workiva and Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities and deliver data-driven insights.
6. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization's accounting and reporting practices remain compliant and competitive.
7. Lead special projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating strong project management skills and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting and reporting, preferably within the energy industry.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.
4. Proficiency in using advanced reporting tools such as Workiva and Power BI.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations in a fast-paced environment.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
