Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled BBx/BBj Programmer to design, develop, and support business-critical applications at Amscot. This role partners closely with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions that support core financial operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable solving complex technical challenges in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using BBx/BBj and Java
  • Support, enhance, and troubleshoot existing BBx/BBj and Java-based systems
  • Integrate internal systems with external applications and RESTful APIs
  • Develop and maintain user interfaces using BBj GUI tools
  • Debug and resolve software defects, ensuring system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with QA, product, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure consistent, high-quality system support across the organization

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience developing with BBx and BBj
  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and system integration patterns
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and/or modern DevOps practices
  • Experience with Open Systems Adaptable Solutions (formerly OSAS) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services) preferred
