Investigates complex technical incidents affecting federated data catalog services, data movement and orchestration tools, data ingestion and egress utilities, and enterprise data governance platforms supporting operational analytics environments
Performs advanced troubleshooting for data quality anomalies, performance bottlenecks, metadata discovery failures, and access control issues impacting enterprise data consumers and platform builders
Analyzes tool behavior, evaluates system performance indicators, and identifies operational failure patterns impacting Extract, Transform, Load workflows, message queue processing, streaming data pipelines, and API gateway integrations
Develops and maintains utilities that assist platform teams in diagnosing operational failures, validating data movement workflows, and improving maintenance efficiency across enterprise data tooling environments
Implements enhancements to data tooling services based on customer feedback, operational analysis, and mission data engineering requirements defined by CDAO data standards
Monitors tool performance and usage patterns, conducts analysis of alternatives on tooling capabilities, and recommends improvements supporting modernization of the WDP enterprise data toolset
Maintains documentation including user guides, technical specifications, release notes, and operational runbooks supporting enterprise data tool sustainment
Coordinates with platform engineering, infrastructure development, and customer support teams to transition new data movement, governance, and observability tools into operational production environments while maintaining data security compliance and managing user access permissions across enterprise data services

Required Skills Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
10 or more years of experience in enterprise data engineering, data platform operations, data tooling support, or a closely related technical discipline
Holds an active DoW IAT Level II baseline certification, which must be one of the following: CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Cloud+, Cisco CCNA Security, GIAC GSEC, GIAC GCED, or ISC SSCP
Demonstrated experience providing Tier-4 expert-level support for enterprise data tooling environments, including federated data catalogs, ETL and orchestration platforms, streaming pipelines, API gateways, and data governance tools
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining operational utilities, diagnostic tools, or automation scripts used to support data movement validation, failure detection, and platform maintenance within large-scale enterprise data environments
Experience supporting enterprise data tooling such as Databricks, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, AWS Glue, API gateways, data catalogs such as Collibra, Apache Atlas, or Unity Catalog, observability platforms, IAM services, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform

Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management)
Desired Skills Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
Prior experience supporting enterprise data tooling operations within DoW, Intelligence Community, or Combatant Command environments, particularly in support of CDAO or related mission data initiatives
Familiarity with cloud-native data tooling ecosystems across AWS GovCloud, SC2S Secret Region, or C2S JWICS environments, including experience managing tools across multiple security enclaves
Experience conducting analysis of alternatives for enterprise data tooling capabilities and contributing to platform modernization roadmaps aligned with evolving mission and data engineering requirements
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform) as applied to data tool deployment, access management, and operational sustainment in accredited government environments
Experience supporting semantic layer, metadata management, catalog, API, or data access tooling that helps AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows discover, contextualize, and consume governed enterprise data
