The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates has partnered with a pioneering force in vehicular technology to find a visionary engineering leader. In this pivotal role, you will champion the end-to-end creation of next-generation embedded electronic systems that safeguard and empower first responders.

Operating within a high-growth, agile engineering ecosystem, you will architect greenfield solutions, direct a dedicated design team, and directly influence the technology that modern emergency response vehicles rely on daily. This is your chance to merge high-level technical ownership with impactful mentorship in an organization experiencing exceptional financial stability and growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect complex embedded electronic systems and hardware configurations from initial ideation through successful high-volume manufacturing.

  • Steer a specialized team of 2–3 engineers, providing daily technical direction, assigning project priorities, and managing development timelines.

  • Execute comprehensive hardware designs, encompassing schematic generation, multi-layer PCB layouts, and rigorous system-level benchmarking.

  • Synthesize product frameworks by specifying critical components, including microcontrollers, sensor arrays, and power drivers, while guaranteeing strict regulatory adherence.

  • Forge cross-functional alliances with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless delivery of ruggedized, highly manufacturable products.

  • Formulate comprehensive hardware specifications, structural documentation, and exhaustive validation test plans.

  • Cultivate engineering excellence by refining development workflows, introducing best practices, and optimizing internal design standards.

  • Spearhead laboratory debugging initiatives, utilizing diagnostic equipment to validate, troubleshoot, and optimize prototype functionality.

What You Bring

  • Expertise in microcontroller-based hardware architecture, specifically with advanced processor families like ARM.

  • Proficiency in utilizing professional EDA software (such as Altium) for sophisticated schematic capture and precise PCB layout execution.

  • Mastery of electronic design principles targeted at mitigating EMC and EMI, ensuring robust compliance standards.

  • Command of standard serial and vehicle communication protocols, including CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.

  • Background in managing or mentoring junior-to-mid-level engineering personnel within a collaborative team structure.

  • Adeptness with physical laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators, for hands-on diagnostic analysis.

  • Advantageous exposure to integrating wireless networking technologies, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, or long-range RF capabilities.

  • Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering paired with 8 to 20 years of progressive, relevant hardware design experience.

  • Eligibility: Due to project constraints, ship or Lawful Permanent Residency () is required.
