IT Systems Administrator | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Delta Township seeking experienced IT Systems Administrators. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage and support virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V) for production and business systems.
• Ensure the reliable operation and security of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical manufacturing data and systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the manufacturing plant.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support IT aspects of manufacturing equipment and IoT devices.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and inventory.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security best practices.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
• Experience with virtualization in a production environment.
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of routine tasks.
