Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Whitewater, Wisconsin. This role focuses on managing, configuring, and enhancing Microsoft 365 environments, including Teams and SharePoint Online, while developing automation solutions to improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to system optimization and user support. This role is a direct hire opportunity and fully onsite, with no must be eligible to work in the U.S. opportunities at this time.

Responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and maintain Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online environments to ensure optimal performance and security.

Oversee SharePoint site collections, libraries, lists, permissions, and workflows while enforcing governance policies.

Design and implement automation solutions using tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve operational workflows.

Troubleshoot system issues, monitor performance, and apply preventive measures to ensure reliability.

Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 products, providing guidance on features, upgrades, and integrations.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and policies to support system operations.

Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support and resolve technical incidents.

Execute infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives and technical standards.

Assist in special projects and contribute to milestone achievements by providing technical expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
A minimum of 6 years of experience supporting Windows environments within Information Technology.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint administration and automation development.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Teams administration and Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online and Power Automate.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Azure Active Directory.
Familiarity with Citrix technologies and Microsoft Exchange systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues effectively, both independently and collaboratively.
