Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer III for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a strong Software Engineer to join the Global Markets UI Horizontal team to help drive an AI Forward Engineering program. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing next-generation enterprise applications that leverage modern UI frameworks, real-time data processing, and AI-driven capabilities. This role involves developing user interfaces using React/Next.js and backend services using Python-based frameworks to support scalable, low-latency systems for trading, analytics, and reporting.
Responsibilities: - Design, build, and enhance next-generation enterprise applications leveraging modern UI frameworks, real-time data processing, and AI-driven capabilities
- Develop user interfaces using React/Next.js and backend services using Python-based frameworks to support scalable, low-latency systems
- Build AI-enabled applications using LLMs, agent-based workflows, and conversational systems
- Improve existing business-critical applications across trading, analytics, and reporting systems
- Work closely with global development teams and front office stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions
Requirements: - Strong experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Proven Full Stack Development experience across UI and backend systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with React.js / Next.js / ES6+ and modern UI frameworks (TailwindCSS or equivalent)
- Experience building real-time UI applications using WebSockets or similar technologies
- Strong programming experience in Python and hands-on experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, microservices-based architectures, and event-driven systems (Kafka / messaging platforms)
- Experience developing AI-powered applications using LangChain / LlamaIndex, agent frameworks, and RAG architectures
- Working knowledge of OpenShift / Kubernetes environments and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong collaboration skills across distributed/global teams
Desired skills: - Experience with Global Markets, trading systems, or financial products
- Experience building distributed, low-latency systems
- Exposure to streaming systems and real-time analytics
- Exposure to desktop-based UI environments such as OpenFin / Electron
- Familiarity with Rasa (CALM) conversational systems and LLM-based application development
- Understanding of prompt engineering and context-driven AI workflows
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
