Genesis10 is currently seeking a Techno-Functional Data Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of a technology transformation journey within a capital management function. The team is engaged in a greenfield project to build and adopt new capabilities for data ingestion, rules execution, and analytics, replacing multiple legacy applications. The position will support critical regulatory programs and requires a delivery-focused techno-functional professional.
Responsibilities: - Support the Capital Management function on a technology transformation journey
- Contribute to a greenfield project to replace multiple legacy applications
- Build and adopt capabilities for data ingestion, rules authoring, execution, and analytics
- Support critical regulatory programs such as Basel IV and FRTB
- Work in a delivery-focused, techno-functional capacity
- Identify risks and issues and suggest improvements
Requirements: - BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
- 10+ years of experience with at least 3+ years as a data analyst
- Delivery-focused techno-functional background
- Good knowledge of SQL programming, preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata
- Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net
- Programming experience with Hadoop will be an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of Capital Markets with a focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Capital calculations
- Understanding of regulations within the Capital Markets space (e.g., Basel, CRR, CRD IV)
- Attention to detail and self-starter
Desired skills: - MBA is an advantage
- Knowledge of Big Data Architectures and Cloud computing
- Knowledge of machine-learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods
- Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
