Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a hybrid position (2 days/week onsite) with a Regional Health Insurance Provider located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $62.60 - $72.60 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst will support enterprise product, data, and integration initiatives by partnering with business and IT teams to define, document, analyze, and manage business and system requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, along with experience supporting healthcare payer environments. This role is heavily focused on requirements gathering, data mapping, functional documentation, and SQL-based data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, document, analyze, and maintain business and system requirements
  • Partner with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Development, QA, and business teams to support enterprise product and integration initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to capture, assess, refine, and document business processes, operational workflows, and functional requirements
  • Document and develop business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, workflow documentation, and design artifacts
  • Perform data mapping, data flow analysis, and cross-system integration analysis supporting enterprise applications
  • Support API mapping, file format analysis, and enterprise integration initiatives
  • Utilize SQL to research data, validate business requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support development efforts
  • Collaborate directly with development teams to clarify requirements, answer functional questions, and support implementation activities
  • Support workflow improvements and identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiencies
  • Assist with testing activities by developing test scenarios, validating functionality, supporting user acceptance testing, and coordinating testing efforts
  • Create and maintain documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, operational procedures, integration artifacts, and reporting documentation
  • Assist with reporting and data analysis to support business users and product teams
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support development teams throughout planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
  • Support enterprise API and healthcare integration initiatives as business needs evolve

Primary Requirements:
  • Experience working within healthcare payer or enterprise healthcare environments
  • Python exposure or the ability to understand technical scripts and data transformations
  • Strong Business Systems Analyst (BSA) experience with business analysis and requirements gathering
  • Experience performing data mapping, workflow analysis, and business process documentation
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to perform database research and analyze data
  • Experience documenting business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and process flows
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations, APIs, and cross-system initiatives
  • Ability to work closely with developers to translate business requirements into functional solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
  • Experience supporting product enhancements, application implementations, and production support activities

Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting healthcare interoperability initiatives, including APIs, EDI, FHIR, or HL7
  • Experience supporting reporting and data analysis activities
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud terminology
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and digital product teams
  • Experience supporting workflow automation or operational process improvements
  • JavaScript exposure is helpful but not required
