About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Java Engineer to support and enhance a mission-critical customer service platform used by phone banking teams for customer and account maintenance. This high-volume application supports approximately 80% of call center interactions, making reliability, performance, and customer experience essential.

As a member of the Customer Information View (CIV) team, you will work in an Agile environment to deliver new capabilities, improve existing functionality, and maintain enterprise-scale applications that directly impact customers and frontline banking operations.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack Java applications.
  • Build and support web applications using Java, Spring MVC, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and service-based solutions.
  • Support authentication, authorization, and customer account management initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Implement business-driven enhancements while ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and engineers across the U.S. and India.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to modernization efforts while maintaining critical legacy applications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Full-Stack Java development.
  • Experience with:
    • Java 17
    • Spring Framework
    • Spring MVC
    • REST APIs
    • JSP
    • JavaScript
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing existing enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience with React.js.
  • Experience working in service-oriented or service-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
  • Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing applications.
  • Experience within financial services or regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Customer Service as a Service (CSaaS) platforms.

Work Location & Schedule

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Required)

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring:
  • 3 days per week in the Columbus office.
  • Standard business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Columbus office as required.
