Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Open Systems Application Support Engineer with strong experience in supporting enterprise applications built on .NET and/or Java technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for providing Level 2/Level 3 production support, incident management, problem resolution, performance monitoring, and ensuring high availability of critical business applications.
The role requires close collaboration with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure seamless application operations and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications built on .NET and Java platforms.
Monitor application health, availability, and performance.
Troubleshoot production incidents and restore services within defined SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
Handle incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
Application Maintenance
Analyze application logs and diagnose issues.
Support application deployments and production releases.
Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes and enhancements.
Perform application configuration and environment management activities.
Monitoring & Automation
Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify issues.
Create dashboards and alerts for application availability and performance.
Automate routine support activities through scripting.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate incident updates and status to business stakeholders.
Participate in operational reviews and support governance meetings.
Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, and runbooks.
