OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer with hands-on experience in digital circuit design, PCB development, and hardware system integration. This role supports full lifecycle electrical design activities-including requirements interpretation, block-diagram creation, schematic development, simulation, layout oversight, test, and hardware integration. The position requires strong technical depth, ownership of complex design challenges, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Degrees in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology may also be considered
- Minimum 5+ years of digital circuit design engineering experience
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Development and design of electronic circuit designs
- Taking a design from block diagram or requirements through completed hardware and verification
- PCB design processes, including schematic capture, analysis, and simulation prior to fabrication
- Experience with electronic design tools such as:
- Altium Designer
- DxDesigner
- Mentor Capital
- Creo Schematic
- Experience using test equipment such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- DMMs
- Network analyzers
- Power meters
- Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (clearance required prior to start)
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with:
- Embedded test techniques
- Design-for-test (DFT)
- Design margin analysis
- Design for production/manufacturability
- Hands-on experience with Siemens EDA / Mentor Graphics tools, including:
- DxDesigner / xDX Designer VX
- Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado, Atrix
- Experience with advanced PCB design tools such as:
- HyperLynx (SI/PI/analog simulation)
- Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB)
- Experience designing complex CCAs (16-32 layers)
- Experience with Constraint Editor System (CES)
- Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development
- Experience leading program transitions from development into production
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Manage technical and schedule risk
- Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities
- Manage schedules and resources to meet milestones
- Proven ability to function within multi-discipline design teams
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
