OverviewWe are seeking an Electronics Test & Production Support Engineer to support troubleshooting, test execution, and hardware investigation activities for complex electronic assemblies and mixed-signal systems. This role is hands-on, lab-focused, and will work closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify root causes, resolve production issues, and improve system yield and reliability.
This position is ideal for an engineer experienced in debugging CCAs, analyzing failures, and supporting manufacturing and test processes in fast-paced development and production environments.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant professional engineering experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Digital, analog, RF, or mixed-signal testing and/or debugging
- Complex circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
- Electro-mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
- Proven experience supporting manufacturing and electronic test environments
- Proficiency operating lab equipment such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Logic analyzers
- Function generators
- Power supplies
- Other standard diagnostic tools
- Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
- Active Secret clearance required at start
Desired Qualifications- Experience supporting production in a large defense or aerospace environment
- Electrical engineering experience with CCAs, EO/IR, RF, seeker/sensor, or other electronic subsystems
- Experience in:
- Circuit design
- CCA assembly
- Electrical test
- Test automation scripting
- Sensor control
- PCB fabrication
- CCA processes and relevant industry specifications
- Familiarity with design and analysis tools such as:
- Mentor Graphics Designer
- PSPICE / SystemVision
- MATLAB / Mathcad / IDL
- CST, HFSS, ADS
- Signal generators, oscilloscopes, RF analyzers
- Experience with subsystem integration & test, and post-test data analysis
- Experience investigating issues, performing SPC analyses, and improving production yields
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within small, focused technical teams
- Experience providing:
- Technical oversight
- Cost estimation
- Task tracking & reporting
- Coordination across functions
- Detailed engineering reports
- Proposal support
Work Environment- Highly collaborative, engineering-focused environment
- Close coordination with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering
- Hands-on work in production test labs and integration areas
- Fast-paced, technical environment with frequent troubleshooting needs
