Position: Senior Salesforce Administrator Developer

Client: Commonwealth of MA (Executive Office of Education)

Location: Everett, MA (Hybrid)

Duration: Thru 6/30/27 (with possibility of extension)

Pay rate: $76-$79/hour

The Executive Office of Education is seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator Developer to support critical enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic Salesforce professional who goes beyond implementing requirements to understand the underlying business need. They can translate business objectives into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions, favoring configuration over customization whenever possible. They can confidently assess and enhance vendor-delivered solutions, challenge assumptions constructively, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the overall application architecture. They think beyond individual features to create scalable, intuitive solutions that support long-term business goals.

Salesforce Administration & Platform Ownership
  • Serve as the primary System Administrator for Salesforce environments.
  • Manage all administrative functions, including user account maintenance, reports, dashboards, workflows, and routine system tasks.
  • Respond to end-user support requests, enhancement requests, and other administrative needs.
  • Conduct regular system audits and prepare Salesforce environments for upgrades and releases.
Business Analysis & Solution Design
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Evaluate requirements and recommend configuration-based solutions whenever possible, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability.
  • Independently work with business users to define, document, and refine development requirements.
  • Assess vendor-delivered solutions and provide recommendations to improve application architecture and overall system performance.
Development & Release Management
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scoping, prioritization, and completion of new development requests.
  • Manage and support integrations between Salesforce and connected applications.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming sessions and help prioritize work based on business value and strategic goals.
  • Partner with development teams to support the delivery of enhancements and new functionality.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Act as the liaison between business users and application development teams.
  • Collaborate across technical and business groups to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and identify opportunities to improve business processes through Salesforce capabilities.
Platform Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Think beyond individual features to develop intuitive, scalable solutions that support long-term business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, user adoption, reporting capabilities, and overall platform effectiveness.
  • Support enterprise initiatives by ensuring Salesforce best practices are applied consistently across the platform.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience administering and supporting Salesforce environments.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, workflows, reports, dashboards, and security models.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting system integrations and coordinating development initiatives.
  • Salesforce certifications are highly preferred.
