Senior SAP Developer / SAP Technical-Functional Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Developer/Consultant to lead design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions across modules. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise combined with strong functional understanding, capable of independently handling end-to-end project lifecycles, mentoring junior team members, and engaging directly with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, customization, and implementation of SAP modules (ABAP/S4HANA/Fiori/Functional module as applicable)
• Gather and analyze business requirements; translate them into technical specifications and SAP solutions
• Design and develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects)
• Perform SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, and rollout projects
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance on complex SAP solutions
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and optimize system performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, business analysts, QA) to ensure seamless integration
• Manage production support, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis for critical issues
• Prepare technical documentation, unit test plans, and support UAT
• Mentor and guide junior developers/consultants
• Interface directly with clients/stakeholders to understand requirements and present solutions
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and governance

Required Skills & Experience

• 11+ years of overall SAP experience, with strong hands-on expertise in [ABAP / S4HANA / Fiori-UI5 / specific module – e.g., MM, SD, FICO, PP, EWM, etc. – customize as needed]
• Proven experience in at least 3-4 full lifecycle SAP implementations (blueprint to go-live)
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, CDS Views, OData Services, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 application development and Fiori Launchpad configuration
• Proficiency in ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, IDocs, and Workflow
• Solid understanding of integration technologies – SAP PI/PO, CPI, or API Management
• Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting complex SAP issues
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices in SAP landscape
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience leading a team or acting as a technical lead on projects
• SAP certification(s) preferred (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate, S/4HANA certification)

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology
• Experience in cross-module integration (e.g., SD-MM-FICO)
• Prior experience working with global clients / onsite-offshore delivery model
• Domain knowledge in [Manufacturing/Retail/Utilities/Pharma – customize based on industry]

Educational Qualification
