Whether you are a professional looking for a career change, an undergraduate student exploring your first opportunity, or recent graduate with an advanced degree, we have opportunities that will allow you to innovate, be challenged and make an impact. Join our team and start your journey today!

We are seeking an experienced SolarWinds Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance our enterprise monitoring environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SolarWinds (NPM, NCM, SAM, etc.), strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to design and implement scalable monitoring solutions that ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of our IT infrastructure.

This is a hands-on, independent role suited for someone who can own the SolarWinds platform end-to-end - from architecture and design to deployment, optimization, and ongoing support

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the SolarWinds monitoring platform across network, server, and application infrastructure.
  • Configure and tune SolarWinds modules such as NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, IPAM, and Log Analyzer as required.
  • Develop and manage custom dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system health and performance.
  • Integrate SolarWinds with other monitoring and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk, etc.).
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify performance bottlenecks and proactively resolve potential issues.
  • Maintain device inventories and ensure monitoring coverage is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for the SolarWinds platform.
  • Assist with monitoring strategy and architecture design to improve observability and operational efficiency.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and documentation of monitoring standards and configurations.
  • Work collaboratively with infrastructure, application, and network teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:
  • 4+ years of experience administering and designing SolarWinds Orion Platform.
  • Strong understanding of network and systems monitoring concepts (SNMP, WMI, ICMP, API-based polling, etc.).
  • Experience with SolarWinds modules: NPM, NCM, SAM, and optionally VNQM, IPAM, or Log Analyzer.
  • Ability to design and implement custom alerts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls).
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and integration tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred:
  • Experience with SolarWinds High Availability (HA) and Scalability Engines (Additional Polling Engines, Web Servers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid monitoring (Azure, AWS).
  • Integration experience with ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Splunk, or other ITOM tools.
  • SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) certification is a plus.

Work Conditions
  • This role will have a mid shift schedule
  • We have a hybrid work arrangement and everyone is required to work on-site for thrice a week
