Description
We are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee procurement and IT asset standardization efforts at our organization.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the procurement of IT hardware and software in alignment with organizational standards.
Negotiate pricing and delivery timelines with approved Value-Added Resellers (VARs).
Partner with the Vendor Management Office to onboard VARs, leasing companies, and service providers.
Oversee contract management and ensure accurate tracking of hardware and software assets.
Manage purchasing card (P-Card) transactions and financial reporting to meet periodic and annual financial close requirements.
Collaborate with finance teams to maintain cost center and contract data for the IT Procurement team.
Facilitate and support the Hardware Standards Committee, including testing and planning for potential solutions.
Utilize asset tracking tools and productivity software to share data and drive project progress.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and maintain accurate records for all procurement activities.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in procurement and billing activities within small to medium-sized businesses.
Proficiency with asset tracking tools such as ServiceNow, HP Asset Manager, Remedy, or similar systems.
Strong ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Proven experience in IT asset management and contract oversight.
Familiarity with office productivity tools to facilitate data sharing and project coordination.
Associate degree in business administration, sales, office management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Agile methodology experience is preferred.
ITIL v4 certification is a plus.
