Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to support the configuration, development, testing, and production support of the FASTDS-VS® COTS application.

The selected candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, configure application components, manage reference tables and user access, develop application enhancements, perform scripting and debugging, conduct testing, and provide production application support.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL databases and object-oriented programming and a good understanding of both Agile and traditional software development methodologies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred degree fields:
- Computer Science
- Computer/Management Information Systems
- Mathematics
Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL databases.
Minimum 2 years of experience with object-oriented development, such as:
- .NET
- C#
- Java
- VB
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of software development methodologies and SDLC.
Knowledge of coding standards and software development best practices.
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Web Services.
Familiarity with APIs, including REST/SOAP.
Experience with AWS/Amazon Web Services.
Knowledge of SQL Stored Procedures.
Experience with application configuration and production support.
Experience with scripting, debugging, and application testing.
Familiarity with source control tools.
Experience working in both Agile and traditional development environments.
