Application Architect - Charlotte, NC - Contract - $70-75 Per HR
Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the design and modernization of enterprise data platforms. This role is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work schedule. As a contract position, the role involves defining strategic architecture and driving scalable solutions across on-premise and cloud ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in distributed data processing, data integration, and cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies.
- Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, integration, and consumption.
- Design migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy platforms and cloud-native architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable data pipelines.
- Ensure data architectures comply with regulatory, risk, privacy, and security requirements.
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related technology roles.
- 7 years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Proven experience architecting large-scale solutions utilizing data platforms and cloud technologies.
- Experience leading enterprise modernization and migration initiatives.
- Experience with data governance platforms and modern query engines preferred.
