Role Overview:
Lead User Experience Designer responsible for managing high-priority, large-scale projects such as website migration and new reservation system implementation. The role focuses on strategic digital transformation, rapid project leadership, and hands-on delivery rather than general marketing UX.
Key Responsibilities:
Endorse, adopt, and drive product experience vision using user-centered design methodologies
Provide insights and product design recommendations to support digital transformation
Organize and facilitate Human-Centered Design practices including:
o Brainstorming exercises
o Rapid prototyping
o Journey mapping
o Usability testing and reporting
o User needs analysis
o Proof of concept demonstrations
Mentor and coach designers in:
o Human-Centered Design (HCD)
o Lean UX
o Agile methodologies
o Prototyping tools
Lead teams to understand user needs and map them to product value
Deliver measurable results by aligning:
o Business goals
o User expectations
o Technical capabilities
Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams:
Digital strategy
o Product management
o Development
Provide subject matter expertise across multiple complex projects
Identify and prioritize opportunities to enhance product experience
Define product vision and contribute to digital roadmap
Advocate for UX metrics and continuous improvement
Act as a thought leader in UX, promoting user-first design practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
OR 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
7+ years of experience in:
Human-Centered Design strategies and Design Thinking
Usability, analytics, and user testing
Collaboration with front-end engineers and product managers
Facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentations
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Figma (Prototyping & Development Mode)
Experience with Jira (Agile management)
Strong knowledge of Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Design Thinking
Familiarity with AI tools such as Google Gemini and GitHub Copilot
SAFe Agile Certification
Additional Requirements:
Fast learner with ability to lead design and development teams
Strong understanding of accessibility standards
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including:
Development
AEM Publishing
Content Strategy
Product/Marketing Strategy
Additional Details:
Fully remote role with EST working hours requirement
Contract role (3 4 months) as a backfill
Must complete Lead User Experience Designer Assessment
