Summary

We are seeking a senior SAP IS-U / CIS Solution Architect to lead end-to-end architecture, process design, and implementation efforts for complex utility environments. This role requires deep SAP IS-U expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to guide large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Design and oversee integrated SAP IS-U/CIS solutions across billing, customer service, device management (DM/AMI), and exception handling
Define end-to-end solution architecture aligned with business processes, application requirements, and system landscape, often on SAP S/4HANA
Ensure seamless integration across SAP modules (FI, SD, MM) and third-party systems while maintaining technical integrity

Business Process & Analysis

Partner with business and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements and define end-to-end processes and objectives
Lead fit-to-standard workshops and Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) to define scope and solution alignment
Advise on utilities industry best practices for both regulated and deregulated markets

Implementation & Support

Provide architectural leadership across the full SDLC, including design reviews, testing, data conversion, and cutover planning
Configure and guide client-specific enhancements while adhering to SAP clean core principles
Troubleshoot and resolve complex implementation and post-go-live issues

Strategic Guidance & Leadership

Facilitate architecture discussions with IT and business leadership to develop digital transformation roadmaps
Balance long-term strategic vision with short-term, high-impact solutions
Mentor junior team members and provide executive-level leadership in customer engagements

Qualifications

Extensive experience with SAP IS-U/CIS and utility industry solutions
Strong knowledge of S/4HANA, SAP integration, and clean core methodology
Proven ability to lead workshops, influence stakeholders, and drive solution alignment
