Job Title:
Software Engineer Java Microservices & Cloud
Overview / Summary:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain high-scale platform services supporting identity management, onboarding processes, and device lifecycle operations. This is a hands-on role focused on building secure, resilient, and highly available distributed systems in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of software services and supporting platforms
- Design and deploy reactive microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate JPA, and Kubernetes
- Build and maintain high-performance REST and gRPC APIs using Swagger and Postman
- Refactor APIs and microservices to improve scalability, efficiency, and simplicity
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Argo, SonarQube, and Fossa
- Follow Test Driven Development (TDD) and clean coding practices
- Implement canary deployment strategies for production environments
- Perform API load and performance testing to ensure system resiliency
- Monitor platform health using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Participate in anomaly detection and incident diagnostics processes
- Support critical applications in a high-availability production environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration, testing, and issue resolution
- Participate in architectural discussions and solution design sessions
- Identify and adopt new technologies to meet evolving business needs
- Contribute to technical best practices and team efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud-based development using Java and Spring Boot
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with Java reactive programming
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes
- Experience with Apache Kafka and PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, JSON, Swagger, and Postman
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML
- Experience supporting high-availability, always-on production systems
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture and cloud computing
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
