Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of an enterprise semantic layer. This role will enable business users to consume structured and unstructured data through natural language and chat-based experiences. The position involves shaping a central consumption layer and a curated data product strategy, creating the connective tissue across multiple semantic implementations and business domains to support an enterprise-wide architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and help implement an enterprise semantic layer that enables users to interact with curated data products using chat and natural language interfaces.
- Define the approach for an enterprise context layer that serves as the connective tissue between different semantic implementations across business domains.
- Support the design of a central consumption layer and curated data product strategy for reusable enterprise data assets.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders on ontology definition, semantic modeling, and semantic governance.
- Translate high-level architecture concepts into executable implementation plans and delivery outcomes.
- Contribute to a layered semantic approach, including platform-side modeling, ontology extraction, curated semantic views, and enterprise-level connective capabilities.
- Work across an evolving technology landscape including cloud data platforms, cataloging tools, graph technologies, and orchestration frameworks.
- Help establish a reusable enterprise framework for semantic information orchestration and consumption.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise semantic layer or semantic information orchestration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with semantic technologies, LLM frameworks, graph technologies (such as Neo4J), and semantic orchestration tools.
- Experience with Snowflake and Collibra.
- Strong understanding of how to enable users to chat with data across structured and unstructured sources.
- Experience defining or supporting ontology models, semantic structures, and enterprise information architecture.
- Ability to convert high-level architecture direction into real-world implementation outcomes.
- Experience building solutions that span multiple platforms or business domains rather than siloed, platform-specific implementations.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders, architects, and platform teams in an exploration and design environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms serving as central data hubs or semantic consumption layers.
- Familiarity with enterprise data catalog and governance capabilities.
- Exposure to graph and non-graph approaches for semantic integration and enterprise connective layers.
- Experience supporting enterprise initiatives involving data marketplace, consumption layer, and reusable AI/semantic frameworks.
