The Role

We are seeking a strategic, highly collaborative Project Manager 3 to lead high-priority public health interoperability initiatives. This role is central to a critical database migration project involving multiple systems that serve various business units. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects designed to enhance data exchange between public health agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners.

The ideal candidate brings a "servant leadership" mindset, a strong background in health informatics, and the technical acumen to navigate complex database environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead project stand-up meetings, coordinate development activities, and drive transparency through executive-level reporting (PowerPoint, dashboards, and KPI updates).
• Database Migration: Oversee the lifecycle of database migration initiatives across Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Stakeholder Management: Facilitate communication strategies between internal teams, external vendors, and community partners to ensure interoperability goals are met.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure all project activities strictly adhere to HIPAA and relevant privacy regulations while proactively mitigating project risks.
• Team Empowerment: Foster a positive, motivating environment even under high-pressure or sensitive delivery timelines.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Management experience specifically within Public Health or Healthcare IT.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Methodology: Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with health data standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, or a closely related field.
• Local Requirement: Candidates must be local to the Lansing, MI area (within 90 miles) at the time of application.

Preferred Skills

• PMP or CAPM certification.
• Experience with Oracle database technologies.
• Master's degree in Public Health or Health Informatics.
