Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Developer IV to support enterprise systems for a large team in Columbia, SC.
The position involves hands-on development, debugging, testing, and migration of mainframe applications in a structured development environment.
What You’ll Do
• Design, code, test, and debug complex application programs supporting insurance claims systems.
• Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Perform system analysis, programming, and implementation of enhancements and conversions to business systems.
• Conduct unit testing, create test data, verify program logic, and document results before code is promoted to testing environments.
• Work with business analysts, customers, and development teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Evaluate how system changes impact related programs and systems across the environment.
• Participate in the full system development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, implementation, and support.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and assist with resolving complex system issues.
• Perform code walkthroughs, troubleshoot defects, and manage code migrations through all environments up to production.
What You’ll Need
• Application development or systems testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL and host mainframe environments.
• Experience supporting batch applications and claims processing systems.
• Ability to independently debug complex issues and complete thorough unit testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system design skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
