Role Summary
We are seeking a Principal Engineer, Marketing Automation and Orchestration to architect, implement, and manage the marketing automation and orchestration platforms that power customer engagement and campaign execution. This role plays a critical part in enabling scalable, personalized customer journeys across digital touchpoints. You will operate at the intersection of marketing strategy and engineering, ensuring technology solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

In this role, you will own the technical foundation for marketing automation, lead orchestration and personalization initiatives, and guide platform optimization. You will partner closely with customer experience, digital, data, and product teams to translate campaign strategies into effective technical implementations while providing leadership across complex integrations and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage the marketing automation and orchestration platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
• Translate marketing campaign strategies into technical requirements and automated execution workflows
• Design, build, and optimize automated journeys including triggered communications, nurture programs, and lifecycle campaigns
• Enable multi-channel orchestration and personalization across email, web, mobile, and related digital touchpoints
• Oversee end-to-end technical implementation including setup, QA, deployment, and UAT
• Ensure seamless integration with customer data platforms, data environments, and broader marketing technology systems
• Establish best practices for data hygiene, governance, consent management, and privacy compliance
• Act as a technical advisor and mentor, supporting cross functional teams and driving platform adoption

Key Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in technical roles supporting marketing technology ecosystems
• 7+ years of hands on experience implementing and optimizing marketing automation and orchestration platforms
• Strong experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar solutions
• Proven ability to lead complex integrations involving CDP, CRM, loyalty, analytics, and digital platforms
• Solid understanding of customer journey orchestration, segmentation, personalization, and automation strategies
• Experience supporting data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements within marketing systems
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data 360 experience preferred, with Salesforce certifications a plus
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to bridge technical and non technical stakeholders
