Job Description


We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting strategic initiatives for the Commercial Lending business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack web development, APIs, and .NET/C# with SQL and Oracle and a proven ability to deliver production-ready software in two-week Scrum increments.


Candidate Screening Questions (required with resume):



  • What products have your Scrum teams delivered? Expected areas: Web development, APIs, .NET, console apps with SQL backend, full-stack development. No people management required.

  • Have you worked on a Scrum team that delivers to production in a two-week cadence? Explain where and when.

  • Are you willing to convert to FTE based on assessment?


Responsibilities:



  • Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code for assigned work across applications and platforms.

  • Resolve system and client experience issues across one or more environments, applications, or platforms.

  • Mentor and train junior engineers.

  • Stay current on banking and technology industry trends and apply learnings.

  • Follow information security standards in code development.

  • Assist in evaluating new and emerging technologies during selection processes.

  • Leverage technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts during development.

  • Adhere to established engineering standards and best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree in business or technology, or equivalent work experience.

  • Ownership of development, implementation, assessment, and support for components of an environment, application, or platform.

  • Proficiency with relational databases, SQL programming logic, and reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with .NET and C#, plus SQL and Oracle.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience supporting commercial lending across the loan lifecycle.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum practices with production delivery in two-week increments.

  • Experience on geographically distributed teams.

  • Familiarity with JIRA and GitLab.

  • Understanding of cloud architecture.

  • Strong knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL, Oracle, and C#.
