QA Tester / Test Lead – TechniPros
Location: Suitland, MD (Remote to Start) | Type: W2 Contract
About the Opportunity
TechniPros is seeking an experienced QA Tester / Test Lead for a long-term opportunity in Suitland, MD. This role starts remote with potential for onsite work in the future. Local candidates preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios from requirements and user stories
- Execute test planning, analysis, documentation, and coordination across SDLC phases
- Perform application testing including functional, automated, and database validation using SQL
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and quality control procedures
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in application design, development, and/or testing
- 6+ years creating test data, test cases, and scenarios from requirements
- 6+ years in test planning, analysis, documentation, and coordination
- 5+ years with QA standards and quality control procedures
- 5+ years creating test cases from use cases/user stories
- 5+ years SDLC, DBMS concepts, and design techniques
- 5+ years automated testing & CI experience
- 3+ years writing SQL for test data retrieval/updates
Preferred Skills
- Selenium / automated testing frameworks
- Accessibility testing (Section 508 compliance)
- Browser compatibility testing
- Performance testing
- Technical leadership experience
