CAD / GIS Specialist (Field Data & Engineering Support)

Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for producing complex technical drawings and geospatial solutions using CAD and ESRI GIS technologies. The position requires strong understanding of engineering specifications and their application in design and construction documentation.

The role also plays a key part in field enablement providing training, technical support, and on-site assistance to construction teams and site superintendents. Approximately 25% travel to project sites is required, primarily supporting wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects. The remainder of the work will be remote or based in the Juno Beach office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex engineering drawings using CAD tools and GIS platforms
• Configure, deploy, and manage ArcGIS Field Maps solutions for construction quality assessment and field data collection
• Support construction teams by implementing mobile GIS workflows and digital forms
• Conduct on-site visits to assist with technical assessments, system deployment, and workflow validation
• Train site superintendents and field personnel on GIS applications and quality assessment tools
• Create documentation, user guides, and process workflows for field and engineering teams
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and GIS teams to improve existing processes and workflows
• Identify opportunities for process optimization with management oversight

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in a related field OR Associate degree with equivalent CAD / Engineering Technology experience
• 6 10 years of experience in CAD, GIS applications, geospatial data management, or project coordination
• Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Field Maps
• Basic proficiency in ArcGIS Pro (data review and edits)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to train non-technical users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting construction, utilities, or renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage)
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise
• Prior experience conducting technical training sessions
• Experience developing process documentation and user manuals
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification (preferred)
• CAD or GIS professional certification
