Location: Lansing, MI
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite; Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are remote-eligible. This schedule is non-negotiable.)
Employment Type: Contract
Compliance: Candidates must be local to the Lansing area (within a 1-hour commute). A Michigan driver's license address will be verified prior to the interview.

Core Responsibilities

Project Governance: Accountable for the cost, schedule, scope, and quality of a project with a budget exceeding $20 million.
Agile Leadership: Serve as a servant leader within an Agile Scrum environment, fostering collaboration between DTMB technical teams and business stakeholders.
Vendor Management: Actively manage vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to deliverable approval procedures and integration between disparate systems.
Risk Mitigation: Anticipate, identify, and evaluate project risks; develop Corrective Action Plans (CAP) and escalate issues to the Program team as necessary.
Stakeholder Communication: Present regular status reports to the Modernization Steering Team and maintain transparent communication across the ORS EPMO Program.
Methodology Adherence: Develop and maintain key PMM (Project Management Methodology) and SEM (Systems Engineering Methodology) deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience & Skills

Large-Scale Management: 5+ years of experience managing IT projects with budgets greater than $20 million.
Agile Expertise: 5+ years of documented Agile Scrum experience.
IT Project Focus: At least 5 years of recent experience must be specifically as a Project Manager on IT-related projects.
Enterprise Ecosystems: Proven experience navigating large, complex, and governed IT environments.
Technical Integration: Experience collaborating with multiple PMs to ensure technology integration across various systems.
Soft Skills: Passion for team-based collaboration and the ability to gain commitment through consensus.

Preferred Qualifications

Tools: 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Public Sector: Previous experience within State Government environments is highly desired.
