Summary

Senior Java Developer, Jersey City, NJ / Coppell, TX / Boston, MA / Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Java Developer to help rebuild a legacy post-trade processing platform as a distributed application on AWS. You'll develop Spring Boot microservices, build event-driven workflows with Kafka, and work with DevOps teams to deploy and support containerized services. You'll also dig into the existing application, troubleshoot production issues, and identify ways to improve performance and reliability as the platform is modernized.

Candidates should have 8+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, including hands-on Java 17 or newer, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS. Experience supporting distributed systems, modernizing legacy applications, and working with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is important. Financial services or mainframe modernization experience is a plus.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity requiring three days onsite per week at one of the listed locations.
