Our client is seeking a Network Support Eng in Redford, MI.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced senior network engineer to manage and maintain functional networks with a focus on the Manufacturing industry. As a senior network engineer, you will be responsible for mentoring junior network engineering staff and handling advanced support issues. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our network, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of network issues.
In this role you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks, high-level managerial skills, and advanced project management skills.

Collaborate with different functional areas to design and implement secure and reliable networks
Develop and execute an improvement plan
Mentor and support junior network engineers
Define and document standard procedures
Manage advanced support issues
Monitor network performance proactively
Verify and update network documentation
Define and maintain a secure baseline configuration
Engage with manufacturing areas to identify network requirements
Understand security best practices and offer solutions to the stakeholders
Test and upgrade network equipment to most recent stable version
Liaison between IT/OT departments
Report to operational line manager

Skills & Requirements

CCNA certification or similar
CCNP certification (highly desired)
High level communication skills
Advanced problem-solving skills
Deep understanding of the OSI model
