Database Developer

Description

We are looking for a Database Developer for a Contract position. This position is remote. This role is ideal for someone who can step into an established ServiceTitan environment, quickly assess issues, and deliver practical solutions with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will combine database expertise, workflow support, and business-focused problem solving to improve system performance, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Manage and support the day-to-day operation of the ServiceTitan platform, resolving workflow and system issues in an existing environment.

Develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and ETL processes.

Create reporting tools, dashboards, and data views that help business teams track performance and make informed decisions.

Build and maintain integrations and automation processes using Python, Zapier, and related APIs where needed.

Investigate system errors, data inconsistencies, and process gaps, then implement effective fixes with limited direction.

Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand operational needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Support database management activities including data organization, query performance improvement, and ongoing system reliability.

Contribute to enhancements involving ServiceTitan configurations, cross-platform connectivity, and workflow improvements as business needs evolve.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience with ServiceTitan is required and cannot be substituted with experience in other platforms.
Demonstrated ability to administer, troubleshoot, and support ServiceTitan workflows in a live business environment.
Strong background in database development and management, including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, and ETL.
Experience using Python to support automation, data handling, or system integration tasks.
Familiarity with Zapier and API-based integrations to connect business systems and streamline processes.
Ability to design and deliver reports, dashboards, and workflow solutions that support operational goals.
Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in an existing system landscape.
Additional value will be given to candidates with roofing industry experience, multi-business-unit support experience, Metabase knowledge, or prior senior-level ServiceTitan customer success exposure.
