Job Summary
We are seeking a Mid-Level .NET Software Engineer to design, build, and support scalable, service-oriented applications within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern .NET frameworks, RESTful web services, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, working in Agile teams on enterprise-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using C#, .NET (Core/6/7/8), and ASP.NET Web API
- Design and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services within SOA and microservices architectures
- Build and integrate Kafka producers and consumers for real-time and asynchronous data processing
- Participate in designing event-driven systems for high-volume financial transactions and system logs
- Work with SQL Server and NoSQL databases to design efficient data access and persistence layers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to production releases in cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
- Follow best practices in coding, testing, security, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in .NET application development
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API development
- Hands-on experience with web services (REST/SOAP, WCF)
- Practical experience using Apache Kafka (topics, producers, consumers)
- Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems
- Experience working with financial or regulated enterprise systems
- Strong SQL skills; experience with Entity Framework / EF Core
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure (AKS, Azure Functions, Service BEvent Hub) or AWS
- Understanding of security concepts (OAuth2, JWT, enterprise authentication)
- Exposure to Docker and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
