Functional Microsoft Dynamics GP Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly collaborative and customer-focused Functional Microsoft Dynamics GP Analyst to join our Business Systems team. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Payroll, and Accounting teams to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with end users by providing exceptional customer service and ongoing application support.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new initiatives.
- Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated and delivered as expected.
- Configure and support Microsoft Dynamics GP modules while maintaining system integrity and best practices.
- Coordinate functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of new enhancements.
- Develop training materials and deliver end-user training as new functionality is introduced.
- Troubleshoot application issues and work collaboratively with technical teams to resolve problems.
- Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency while minimizing disruption to existing business operations.
- Support upgrades, implementations, integrations, and ongoing ERP optimization projects.
- Assist with reporting and data analysis using SmartList, SSRS, SQL queries, or other reporting tools.
- Work closely with third-party vendors supporting integrated applications.
Functional Expertise
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Bank Reconciliation
- Purchasing / Procurement
- Payroll
- Financial Management
- Sales Order Processing (preferred)
- Inventory Management (preferred)
Experience supporting integrated applications such as: (Nice to have)
- DocLink
- Liaison
- SmartConnect
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- SmartLists
- Microsoft SQL Server
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of functional Microsoft Dynamics GP experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, procurement, and payroll business processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
- Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SSRS and SmartLists.
- Knowledge of workflow automation and document management solutions.
